Olympia Greek Taverna is proudly led by brothers Mike and Chris, second generation owners who grew up in the kitchen and on the dining room floor. As both chefs and operators, they’ve carried forward their family’s legacy of quality, hospitality, and heart. Early Days

1968

In 1968, brothers Christos (Chris) and Stavros (Steve) opened Olympia Pizza on Bernard Avenue, serving up delicious pizza and pasta to locals. By 1973, the demand was clear and Olympia expanded to Rutland, where it’s remained ever since. From those early days, the mission was simple: serve great food, made with care.

Bold Transformation

1996

In 1996, Olympia underwent a major transformation. The familiar blue-and-white interior gave way to a warm Mediterranean-inspired redesign, and the menu evolved too. Introducing authentic Greek dishes and entrées that were new to Kelowna diners. Olympia Greek Taverna was born, expanding both its offerings and vision.

The Fire

2020

In 2020, disaster struck when an electrical fire devastated the restaurant. Brothers Mike and Chris Koutsantonis rebuilt Olympia from the ground up. With hard work, strong family ties, and the support of the community, Olympia is once again ready to create even more memories for generations to come. Come in today.
