The Anast/Koutsantonis family started Olympia Pizza in 1968 on Bernard Avenue offering
delicious pizza and pasta.
In 1973 they realized the need to expand to Rutland, and have been in the same location ever
since. Since those humble beginnings, our menu choices have changed dramatically but our
commitment to quality, freshness and great taste has not.
In 1996, we underwent a major renovation transforming the "old blue and white" restaurant into
a Mediterranean paradise. At the same time, our menu also had a major overhaul. The result,
Olympia Greek Taverna; whole new look, whole new cuisine.
In 2020, Olympia Greek Taverna faced adversity with an electrical fire that tragically destroyed
the restaurant. Undeterred, the resilient spirit of brothers Mike and Chris Koutsantonis
prevailed, and Olympia has since risen from the ashes, with rebuilt determination and optimism.
Now, with a renewed commitment to our patrons, Olympia eagerly anticipates the opportunity to
once again serve the community, inviting guests to experience the reimagined and resilient
flavours that define this cherished Greek establishment.
